Mercia Safer Neighbourhood Team (SNT) have been out and about in the community today, (Monday 19 January). Today has been a busy and varied shift. Your local officer has: Attended a community engagement event in Repton, providing crime prevention advice and target hardening information to local residents;Attended an incident to provide support to a vulnerable male who was found in a South Derbyshire public highway in a distressed condition. The male was taken to hospital for treatment;Visited a victim from the parish of Findern, who discovered his vehicle had been cloned - and provided support under a national policing operation to tackle this problem;Seized an e-scooter that was being ridden on a public pavement, preventing a near miss with several members of the public in South Derbyshire village;Supported a victim who had sustained anti-social behaviour in the village of Stenson Fields;Patrolled several local villages;Provided road safety information to local residents about partial highway and road closures in the Newton Solney, Ticknall and Repton areas; andContacted a parish council chairman about crime prevention and keeping a local community safe. Visible patrols in the community will continue day-time and after-dark throughout the week ahead. Thank you. |
